The Sum of its Parts is Greater than the Whole ...

The spaces we share - whether physical or psychological, public or private - provide structure for experience. Through collective proximity, strategy, movement and contemplation, our experiences can become stories of creation and ownership. I am especially interested in how our personal narratives increasingly impose a desire to be understood and empowered through strategy and disguise. While these systems are man-made, they are physical, psychological, and compel me to play, provoke, and hopefully maintain my own physical system.

The select works here span a seven-year period, organized into collections to suggest a relationship among space, time and intent. My visual creations are an attempt to understand the precarious state of human rationality while engaging internal space and external encounter.
